Waiting to change your oil makes sense

In the past, automobiles were not as sophisticated as they are now. It was a rule that car oil needed to be changed every 1500 to 3000 miles. However, advancements in the technology of automobile engine, as well as oil chemistry, now allow for vehicles that can now go anywhere from 5000 to 10000 miles without an oil change.

The engine that is presently in your car now is many generations newer than the original engines that were on the market several decades ago. One can quickly see that better oils have been made through the years that now allow an engine to go longer intervals without having its oil changed. We here at Fox Mazda want Grand Rapids-area residents to be able to save money by going longer between oil changes so that they can save their hard earned money and not have to worry about engine failure occurring from not following the '3000-mile rule'.
